Magnificent French farm stool, handcrafted, on tripod legs, from the late 50s - early 60s. Made of solid wood with a rich dark brown finish tinged with shades of burnt shadow, this Vintage tripod stool, France 1960 piece is unlike any other stool as no nails were used to fix the legs. The piece is in wonderful original condition, as it has clearly been well preserved over the years. The seat has retained its natural grain and shape, as well as the colour, its rich original patina. Slight signs of age and use, related to the time on the seat and feet, but nothing that takes away its charm or beauty (see photos.) Both sturdy and stable, this fantastic and rustic piece of craftsmanship is perfect to be used as originally intended: for sitting, as a stool or even as a plant stand. A beautiful accent piece that will fit perfectly into any domestic environment, whether it is a French country setting, modern, rustic, mid-century, traditional, etc.
