A striking industrial coffee table created from an original railway or factory transport cart, dating from the mid-20th century. The robust construction combines heavily weathered solid timber beams with substantial cast-iron wheels and riveted metal reinforcements.
A rectangular glass top has been added, allowing the authentic structure, aged wood and industrial hardware to remain fully visible. The large sculptural wheels and richly patinated surfaces give the table a strong architectural presence, while the transparent top keeps its overall appearance open and balanced.
The wood and metal retain their original marks, oxidation, irregularities and traces of use, all contributing to the piece’s distinctive character. A unique statement table, particularly suited to an industrial, brutalist or contemporary interior.
