Introduction
Postmodern square dining table designed by Francesco Binfaré for Cassina in the 1980s. This distinctive Italian design combines bold geometry with an inventive swing-out extension system, resulting in a sculptural yet functional piece.
Appearance and functionality
In its closed position, the table presents a strong square silhouette with a contrasting central wooden panel framed by a colored border. Beneath the tabletop, integrated swing-out leaves can be unfolded to extend the table when needed. The table rests on solid wooden legs with expressive colored supports, underlining the playful and architectural language typical of Binfaré’s postmodern work.
