The chairs feature Hitier’s characteristic use of a slender black tubular steel frame, combined with softly upholstered seats and distinctive shield-shaped backrests. The light grey woven fabric contrasts beautifully with the graphic metal structure.
Their sculptural yet functional design is representative of French post-war modernism and makes them suitable as dining chairs, occasional chairs or decorative accent pieces.
Presented in good vintage condition with normal traces of age and use. The upholstery shows some minor wear and small imperfections, as visible in the photographs.
